⚙️ Built for Mid-Draw
The AutoFling M5 is designed for shooters who prefer a mid-draw style and want a more portable setup. It uses the same patented magnetic autoloading system, but the frame has been shortened and the bands are folded internally through nylon pulleys. This allows a longer band to be fitted into a shorter frame, making mid-draw practical.
- Mid-Draw Design: Rear hand position goes past the corner of the mouth, typically resting near the ear, back of the head, or side of the neck. The longer power stroke increases initial velocity and reduces drop at the same distance.
- More Portable Frame: The shorter handle makes it easier to carry, while the internal band folding keeps the overall length compact.
- 9-Round Capacity: Holds 9 carbon steel balls (9mm). Compared with the G5, which is set up for short-draw and higher capacity for beginners, the M5 prioritizes portability and mid-draw performance.
The M5 is not intended as a simple upgrade of the G5. They target different shooting styles: the G5 is better suited for short-draw and beginners who benefit from a stable facial anchor, while the M5 is aimed at users who want mid-draw power in a more compact form.
M5 Design Details
The M5 frame is machined from 6061-T6 aluminum with an anodized finish. Inside the shortened handle, the bands are folded through nylon pulleys, allowing a longer band to fit into a more compact frame.
- Band Root Locking: A 3mm steel ball is seated into a groove and locked in a conical hole at the root of each band. This simplifies the fixing method and holds the band securely in the limited internal space.
- Internal Folding: The nylon pulley system lets the bands fold inside the frame while still providing the longer power stroke needed for mid-draw.
- Loop Lock Band Method: Uses AutoFling’s Loop Lock tying method to reduce pouch flip and improve ball stability on release.

Custom Mod Rail & Integrated Sight
This Picatinny-compatible rail is a standardized accessory for genuine AutoFling products and works with the M5.
The pointed tip on the rail itself is the sight and is effective at around 10 meters. The Picatinny edges also let you mount common accessories such as a flashlight or laser sight. Official AutoFling accessories remain fully compatible and supported.
